When your character has been approved you will receive a reply in your character's forum thread welcoming you to the game. This will include instructions as to how to log in, but I'll go over the process in more detail here.

1. You must log your character into the chat using his unique user name/password combination.

This means using the login option to the left of the main page, as opposed to the right (Guest) login you have been using. Your user name is your character's name, and the password is initially 12345, but the first time you log into the chat you will be prompted to select a new password known only to you.

If you lose this password, you may contact an administrator (myself or Imara) to have it re-set.

The option to log in invisibly is not enabled for PCs. It is a Dungeon Master only feature.

2. You must prepare your character's profile before you can enter play.

This means setting the information viewable to other players when they use the Information/View Profile button in the chat, as well as selecting the correct icon to represent your race.

All of this is accomplished with the Settings button in your digi-chat window, to the left of the Logout button and directly above the Send button.

Age and Gender should be set.

URL and/or email address are optional, as is Exit Message.

The Comments field should hold your description and carried equipment, as well as any other information the Dungeon Masters require. A template demonstrating this format will follow.

Note: At the present time, your profile information will be lost each time you close your browser login page, though if you merely disconnect but leave that page open it should remain. This is because we do not, as yet, have a character database during this beta testing phase of the chat's opening. It is therefore highly useful to keep a copy of your profile handy for cut/paste, whether in your character thread or in a document on your computer.

Enjoy!

Remember, if you wish to go IC, you must set your icon and profile. It is an absolute pre-requisite for leaving the Foyer/OOC area.

If you wish to observe a scene, as opposed to participating, with a DM's permission of course, or that of all players present, please use a guest login to do so.

Is that still forthcoming?

And to clarify, Age/Gender are for character being played?
